Position Summary The Behavior Health Technician serves as a frontline mentor and stabilizing presence for youth in a residential therapeutic setting. This "boots-on-the-ground" role combines direct clinical support—such as co-facilitating therapy groups and documentation—with daily supervision, safety, and behavioral management. Key Responsibilities Ensure the health, safety, and security of residents Provide consistent structure and appropriate behavioral interventions Document interactions and progress using EMR and staff logs Co-facilitate therapy and psychoeducational groups Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals Engage residents in one-on-one mentoring and group activities Communicate clinical and environmental observations to supervisors Assist clinical and case management staff as needed Transport residents to appointments when required Administer medications if trained Participate in training and professional development Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, residential treatment, or a related field Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills Equal Opportunity Employer DTAC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status.
