PCT:
Responsibilities:
Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform duties. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs. Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff. Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests. Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties. Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or
GED. BLS
certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy. Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school. Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
