Compensation:
$1,800
  • $2,300 Weekly (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking a Certified OB Surgical Technologist to support Labor & Delivery and Obstetrical Surgical Services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff during obstetrical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, preparing surgical equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient patient care throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities Assist with obstetrical surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and related Labor & Delivery surgeries. Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with operating room standards and infection prevention protocols. Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures. Anticipate the needs of surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff during procedures. Ensure proper handling, counting, and tracking of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies. Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transport as needed. Support efficient workflow within the Labor & Delivery and Operating Room environments. Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with departmental policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred. Certifications & Licensure Active Certified OB Surgical Technologist certification required. Current BLS certification preferred. Experience Previous Obstetrical Surgical Technologist experience preferred. Prior operating room or Labor & Delivery surgical experience preferred. Epic charting experience preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical asepsis. Understanding of Labor & Delivery and obstetrical surgical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to remain calm and organized during urgent and emergent situations. Assignment Details Duration:
13 Weeks with possibility of extension
Day Shift Schedule:
