Schedule:
Part-Time, 24 Hours/Week (2 x 12-Hour Day Shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced OB Surgical Technologist (OB Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. This position supports Labor & Delivery surgical services, assisting with obstetric and gynecological procedures in a busy acute care hospital. Candidates with at least one year of experience are encouraged to apply, and first-time travelers are welcome. Responsibilities Scrub and assist during Cesarean sections and other obstetrical surgical procedures. Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies. Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures. Assist physicians and nursing staff during labor and delivery surgeries. Support gynecological surgical procedures as needed. Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments and equipment. Float within assigned areas as needed to support patient care. Assist with patient scheduling and OB admissions when required. Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of OB Surgical Technologist experience . NBSTSA Certification required . BLS Certification required . Experience scrubbing OB cases, including Cesarean sections. Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. First-time travelers accepted. Preferred SkillsObstetrics & Gynecology Cesarean Sections Bilateral Tubal Ligation Dilation & Curettage (D&C) Abdominal Hysterectomy Vaginal Hysterectomy Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy) Laparoscopic-Assisted Gynecological Procedures General Surgery Appendectomy Cholecystectomy Colon Resection (Open/Laparoscopic) Hernia Repair (Inguinal/Umbilical) Thyroidectomy (Partial/Total) Whipple Procedure Other Laparoscopic Procedures Schedule & Call Requirements Part-time assignment: 24 hours per week Two 12-hour day shifts weekly Weekend rotation required (approximately every third weekend) On-call coverage required on scheduled days and per diem opportunities available Additional day and night call shifts may be available 48-hour workweeks approved if additional shifts are available Patient Population Neonates Obstetric Patients Application Question(s): What is the best time to talk to you?
