  • $62 per Hour (Based on Experience) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced OB Surgical Technician to support Labor & Delivery services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will have recent obstetrical surgical experience, the ability to independently scrub OB procedures, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. Responsibilities Assist physicians and nursing staff during obstetrical surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and other Labor & Delivery surgeries. Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical procedures. Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate support during procedures. Assist with patient admissions, scheduling activities, and procedural preparation within the OB department. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards. Perform instrument counts and maintain accurate documentation according to departmental policies. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Support efficient workflow within the Labor & Delivery unit. Required Qualifications Active NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification. Recent OB Surgical Technician experience. Ability to independently scrub obstetrical surgical cases. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with OB patient scheduling and admissions. Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience. Previous Labor & Delivery or Women's Services experience in an acute care setting. Assignment Details 13-week contract assignment with potential for extension. Part-time schedule consisting of two 12-hour day shifts per week.
