Plant Health Care Technician

Candidates for Plant Health Care roles must have specific experience running spray and application equipment. This is a position that will involve extensive field time diagnosing problems and treating properties. Plant Health Care involves interacting with customers and providing them with detailed information about the ideal care and health of their trees and landscapes.

Duties will include:

The ongoing care of trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants for customers. You will diagnose and treat insect, disease and cultural conditions and select the appropriate treatment plan to be utilized for each problem you encounter. Experience in Plant Health Care is essential to be considered for this position.

Important Note:

PHC is a new service for our company. While we are developing the service, you may at times be required to work on the crew to assist with tree removals, pruning, and clean-up.

The ideal candidate will have:

Ability to identify local plant species Ability to diagnose pest, disease, and nutrient issues impacting trees and shrubs Valid PA certified applicators license Ability to work independently and self-direct Communicate well with customers and fulfill job function in a state of alertness and safety Valid driver's license Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Arboriculture or equivalent experience
