In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and community-based care environments. Your expertise will support the health and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory-related conditions. As a Med Tech, you will work closely with nursing staff to ensure accurate medical documentation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, supportive environment for our residents and patients. Duties Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders while adhering to HIPAA and safety protocols Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility support, housekeeping and laundry Document medical information precisely using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Assist in medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff and ensure proper infection control practices are followed Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while supporting home care or community-based services Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate senior care tailored to individual needs Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Familiarity with EMR/EHR for documentation purposes Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent caregiving skills combined with a positive attitude and energetic approach to patient support Certification as a Med Tech or similar healthcare qualification is required; additional certifications in hospice or memory care are advantageous Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing exceptional care that enhances the lives of those we serve.
