The Pharmacy Technician demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills in assisting the pharmacist in execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The position participates in many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or technician supervisor and is an integral part of the pharmacy team. This position supports Pharmacy Services in all locations (i.e., acute, community, ambulatory, specialty).

Full-time Monday to Friday, 8:00 am•4:30 pm. No weekends or holidays
Location:
This is a fully remote position. Candidates for this role need to have an active Pharmacy Technician license in Utah, Colorado, Montana or Nevada. Candidates outside of these states will not be considered.

In this role, you'll work collaboratively with pharmacists, providers, and Population Health partners to support patients through proactive outreach, refill coordination, and barrier identification. (https://calendly.com/noel-newton) Essential Functions Perform outbound and inbound medication adherence outreach (e.g., refill reminders, gaps-in-therapy follow-up) using approved scripts and workflows. Identify and document adherence barriers (cost, access, side effects, understanding) and escalate clinical concerns to a pharmacist or clinician. Coordinate refills, prior authorization follow-ups (as assigned), and pharmacy transfers in partnership with pharmacists. Maintain accurate documentation in approved systems and assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records, in accordance with policy, regulation, and scope of practice. Support population-based adherence campaigns aligned to quality measures and organizational priorities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Pharmacy, Care Management, Population Health) to close care gaps. Adhere to all Intermountain policies, privacy standards, and medication-related procedures. Assist with all phases of pharmacy services in compliance with state scope of practice, ensuring appropriate pharmacist supervision, accuracy checks, and verification of designated tasks and activities.
