Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technician Duties :

• Respond to non-emergency calls, emergency calls, as well as public events, and provide medical assistance to patients in various settings, including homes, public areas, facilities, doctors' offices, and hospitals.
• Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments and interventions.
• Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with healthcare professionals, relay patient information, and follow medical protocols.
• Perform basic life support techniques, as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Clean and restock medical supplies and equipment after each call.

Requirements:

• Valid & current South Carolina certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic) or higher and BLS for Healthcare Provider card.
• Strong knowledge of South Carolina emergency medical procedures and protocols.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to represent the company professionally in person, by phone, by radio, and in writing.

$18.50-$19.50 for EMT-Basic Expected hours : 15 - 40 per week

Schedule :

10-hour shifts 8-hour shifts Day shifts Evening shifts Event shifts Weekends as needed on rotation

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Preferred) SC or NREMT issued EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic Certification (Required)
