Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Patient monitoring Hospice experience HIPAA Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and attentive Hospital Sitters to provide dedicated patient supervision and support within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient safety, comfort, and basic needs, ensuring a secure environment for individuals with diverse medical and behavioral needs. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with healthcare teams and contribute to quality patient care, particularly for those requiring memory care, dementia care, or assistance with daily living activities. Duties Monitor patients continuously to ensure safety and prevent falls or injuries. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and mobility support. Support patients with memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavioral management strategies. Operate EMR systems accurately to document patient observations and interactions. Assist with vital signs measurement, medication reminders, and basic health assessments under supervision. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely for patient transfers. Maintain cleanliness of patient areas in compliance with infection control protocols. Support residents' participation in social activities and provide companionship. Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Respond promptly to patient needs and communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. Assist with transportation or driving responsibilities if required for appointments or outings. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health challenges is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and care plans is beneficial. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR systems and medication administration procedures is a plus. Previous caregiving experience involving dementia or hospice care will be considered an asset. This position requires a caring attitude, strong observational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Candidates should be prepared for a rewarding role that makes a meaningful difference in patients' lives while adhering to strict safety and confidentiality standards.

$15.00 per hour
