Job Purpose The Patient Care Technician under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit and professional staff.Job Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or Certified Medical Assistant program Or Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or EMT Certification/Paramedic License Licenses and/orCertifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County. In addition to the new 40,000-square-foot expansion of the emergency department, we offer a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite; a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit.
