This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in outpatient clinic fast-paced environment. Detail oriented, good communication skills, empathic nature is required for this position and must be able to work with other team members of the staff. Duties Administer medications and perform IV therapy as prescribed by healthcare providers. Conduct patient intake assessments, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories. Provide exceptional patient service by assisting with inquiries and ensuring comfort during procedures. Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Support clinical operations by managing administrative tasks related to patient care and clinic management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures in the outpatient visits. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required. Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, anatomy, and physiology. Experience working in hospital settings or urgent care facilities preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential. Ability to perform intake procedures and accurately assess vital signs. Previous experience in emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
