Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and either one year of recent experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant or a CNA certification. The department has both shifts available; 3/12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays. A 30-bed inpatient unit providing care to adult medical oncology inpatients with a diagnosis of solid tumor malignancies; primary services include genitourinary, breast, and internal medicine. Patients require nursing interventions for the management of chronic and acute disease related symptoms, pain control, treatment related side effects; chemotherapy and biotherapy administration: patient and family teaching.
Hourly breakdown of salary range:

Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team to identify and address patient care needs. Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobilization, admission/discharge processes, and obtaining vital signs. Update and retrieve patient information accurately. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment. Function as part of an assigned care team to support coordinated patient care.
