Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where your vital role is to support our physician, NP or PA in delivering prompt, professional, and compassionate telemedicine care. You will be at the forefront of our virtual care services, interacting directly with patients via video visits, gathering critical clinical information, and accurately scribing in the EMR to enable efficient, high-quality treatment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, basic physical observations, and comprehensive medical history collection during telemedicine visits. Comfortably engage with patients through video/telemedicine platforms, ensuring a professional and reassuring virtual bedside manner. Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in the EMR in real time, maintaining clear, detailed, and compliant medical records. Assist providers by scribing during visits and ensuring all relevant clinical information is captured. Coordinate prescription transmission and communicate with pharmacies to resolve any issues as needed. Perform follow-up calls to patients to monitor progress and address concerns. Experience & Skills Prior experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with demonstrated proficiency in emergency medicine procedures. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, durable medical equipment (DME), and vital signs assessment. Proven ability to maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical documentation. Fast and efficient typing skills with the ability to document in real time during patient encounters. Comfortable using telemedicine platforms and conducting video-based patient interactions. Ability to follow and adhere to clinical protocols and workflows in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in utilizing and troubleshooting computer technology Passion for exceptional patient care and customer service Workers' compensation experience preferred This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their medical expertise in an innovative, fast-paced setting dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through telemedicine. This is an independent contractor position, and hours are expected to be between 8:00 and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
