Wellness & Vaccine Clinic Technician Spay Neuter Network - 2.5 San Antonio, TX Job Details $17 - $21 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Patient safety Dog handling Animal restraint Full Job Description Position Summary The Wellness & Vaccine Clinic Technician supports in‑clinic wellness and vaccination clients while assisting with general technical duties throughout the day. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to learn multiple technical functions. Training is provided. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during wellness exams and vaccine appointments Safely restrain dogs and cats for exams, vaccinations, and testing. Prepare vaccines and preventative treatments Obtain and record patient weights, temperatures, and medical histories Accurately enter medical records, charges, and vaccine information Educate clients on routine vaccines, parasite prevention, and wellness care Maintain efficient patient flow in a high‑volume clinic environment Additional Technician Duties Wrap surgical packs and assist with drapes and instrument preparation Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding Clean and restock exam rooms and treatment areas Assist in maintaining clinic organization and supply levels Provide support to other technical areas as needed throughout the day Training & Growth Willingness to learn and assist in other technician roles within the clinic On‑the‑job training provided for additional technical skills and responsibilities Opportunity for skill development and cross‑training in a supportive environment Required Qualifications Veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred Comfortable handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to daily workflow changes Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Preferred Qualifications Licensed/Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) Experience in wellness or vaccine clinics Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift and restrain animals up to 50+ lbs with assistance Perform repetitive tasks such as cleaning, typing, and material handling Benefits (adjust as applicable) Competitive hourly pay Paid time off and holidays Employee pet care discounts Training and skill advancement opportunities
