Position begins Jan. 2026 Position Summary The Hyperbaric Wound Care Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operations of wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). This role includes preparing and monitoring patients during hyperbaric treatments, assisting with wound care procedures, maintaining treatment areas and equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Candidates with EMT certification are strongly preferred due to their training in patient care, emergency response, and vital signs monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Prepare patients for HBOT sessions, ensuring proper positioning and comfort. Conduct pre-treatment checks, including patient history, vital signs, and safety screening. Assist clinicians during wound care procedures such as dressing changes and debridement. Monitor patients during HBOT sessions and immediately respond to any signs of distress or complications. Provide post-treatment care instructions and answer patient questions with professionalism and empathy. Technical & Clinical Duties Ensure all hyperbaric chambers are in working order Performs necessary maintenance to systems on a daily basis and as needed Checks acrylic on all chambers once a month or more as needed Maintain accurate records regarding medical history, hyperbaric treatment and results of each patient session Perform pre-dive vitals on all patients Perform BG test pre and post dive for all first-time patients. Thereafter perform BG test on all diabetic patients pre-dive and PRN post-dive Responsible for knowing all parameters for vital signs Responsible for knowing emergency protocols and location of protocols Responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phones and scheduling appointments in a professional and prompt manner as needed Rooming patients, complete pre-screening questions and cleaning rooms Assist the Clinic Provider with wound care patients Familiar with patient insurance including verifications and authorizations Track and order medical/office supplies Additional administrative duties to perform as needed Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to all hyperbaric safety protocols and infection control standards. Perform scheduled safety checks and maintain accurate logs for each chamber. Participate in safety drills and continuing education related to hyperbaric medicine. Comply with HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements. Immediately report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to the Clinic Provider or Medical Director. Administrative Support Assist with scheduling patient treatments and maintaining efficient clinic workflow. Support inventory management of wound care supplies and oxygen therapy equipment. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
EMT certification (Basic or higher) Certified Hyperbaric Technician or gain certification within six (6) months of hire Experience in wound care, hyperbaric therapy, or a related healthcare field Current CPR/BLS certification Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and team members. Have and maintain a positive attitude Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations Maintain an elevated level of customer service and compassion with all patients Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout the workday. Lift or move up to 50 lbs. as needed to assist patients or handle equipment. Comfort working in small, enclosed spaces typical of hyperbaric chambers. Work Schedule & Compensation Full-time, 40 hours per week. The clinic operates Monday through Friday Competitive salary based on experience and certification level with attainable monthly incentive bonus.
