Patient Sitter

Duties Maintain continuous visual and physical supervision of assigned patients to prevent falls, injuries, or other safety incidents Assist patients with daily activities such as mobility, positioning, and basic hygiene to promote comfort and well-being Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff using established communication protocols Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce patient anxiety and promote a positive environment Support clinical staff by helping with non-medical tasks to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety Ensure patient environment is safe, clean, and free of hazards at all times Document observations accurately in patient records as required by hospital policies Experience Prior experience in home or community care settings is highly desirable, demonstrating your ability to provide compassionate support outside of clinical environments Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Experience with patient care in hospital settings enhances your understanding of medical routines and safety protocols Familiarity with critical care transport procedures is a plus, reflecting your ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively Strong interpersonal skills combined with attentiveness and reliability are essential for success in this role This dynamic position invites motivated individuals eager to contribute positively to patient recovery and safety.
