PRN Patient Safety Technician

Interim HealthCare Staffing is currently seeking compassionate and dependable PRN Patient Safety Technicians to support a hospital partner in Arlington, VA. The Patient Safety Technician works under the direct supervision of the RN and plays an essential role as part of the healthcare team by helping ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality care. This position is ideal for candidates who are empathetic, attentive, and possess strong communication skills with a passion for patient care. Responsibilities Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Patient Safety Technician will: Provide one-to-one observation and monitoring for patients requiring close supervision Maintain the safety of patients who are confused, at risk for falls, or require continuous observation Assist patients with activities of daily living including feeding, dressing, and toileting Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment Assist with department and unit tasks as needed Transport patients within the facility Perform unit secretary or clerical duties when assigned Support the healthcare team with additional related duties Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous patient care, sitter, CNA, or hospital experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff Compassionate, patient-focused, and dependable Ability to remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts CPR certification Clean Background and Drug Test Hep B Vaccination or Declination MMR and Varciella vaccination or Titers Tdap Vaccination or Declination Benefits of Working with Interim HealthCare Flexible PRN scheduling Competitive weekly pay Opportunity to gain hospital experience Supportive staffing team Meaningful work making a difference in patient safety and care
