Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Hospital (Contract)

Hours Per Week Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatient use. Process medication orders using
EPIC EMR.
Prepare, package, and label medications accurately. Maintain medication inventory and pharmacy supplies. Support sterile and non-sterile compounding activities. Deliver medications to nursing units in a timely manner. Perform medication cart fills and restock automated dispensing systems. Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and pharmacy standards. Maintain clean and organized pharmacy work areas. Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff. Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives. Support daily pharmacy workflow during evening/night shift coverage.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Acute care hospital experience preferred. Ability to work evening/night shifts. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and medication safety standards.
