In this vital role, you will provide high-quality medical assistance and personalized care to individuals across various care settings, including assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that residents and patients receive respectful, attentive, and comprehensive support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse healthcare needs while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and meal assistance for residents and patients. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including injections, tube feedings, and other treatments. Monitor vital signs—such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature—and document findings meticulously in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and senior care programs. Maintain medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of patient records. Perform medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and assisting with medical equipment like EMR systems or other medical devices. Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate medical records management. Engage with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities by providing respectful support tailored to their unique needs. Follow safety protocols related to infection control, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and emergency procedures. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home & community care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care standards. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly preferred. Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely. Familiarity with hospice care, Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care practices is a plus. Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate attitude towards residents' well-being. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of sensitive medical information. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Med Tech or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates.
