Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled EMT to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced clinic. As an EMT, you will be responsible for assisting medical providers in various aspects of patient care, including routine medical procedures, patient education, and medication administration. If you have a strong foundation in medical-surgical knowledge, a passion for internal medicine, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and nursing staff with patient examinations, lab tests, and medical procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Conduct vital signs and provide patient education on medication usage and medical conditions.
- Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, medication administration, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Assist with in office surgical procedures and coordinate pre-op and post-op care.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- Current EMT-B, EMT-A or EMT-P License
- Knowledge of internal medicine and medical-surgical procedures.
- Proficient with sterile technique
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
