Job Description

Front Office Coordinator (Full-Time)
Job Summary:
Our busy specialty clinic is seeking a reliable and professional Front Office Coordinator to join our team full-time. This position serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Answer multi-line phones in a polite, professional, and friendly manner Schedule patients for consultations, sleep studies, DME services, and follow-up appointments based on care plans Confirm appointments, provide patient instructions, and ensure required documentation is completed Check patients in/out and assist walk-in patients Dispense home sleep testing equipment and educate patients on proper use Clean and sanitize equipment after each use Review clinical documentation and request medical records/lab results from outside facilities Send clinical updates to referring providers and submit referrals to other specialties and DME vendors Process medical record requests and manage incoming faxes (referrals, updates, record requests, etc.) Dispense durable medical equipment, supplies, and accessories while completing required documentation Collect and accurately record patient payments Maintain a clean, organized office environment and prepare patient rooms/bedrooms as needed Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff Complete data entry in relevant systems Perform clerical duties including chart retrieval, clearing voicemail, and managing fax messages
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (administrative experience preferred) Scheduling experience in a specialty or multi-provider clinic preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance processes Experience collecting patient fees and payments Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet-based systems
Schedule:
4x10 schedule (Tuesday - Friday) 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Minor scheduling adjustments may be discussed with the selected candidate
Location Requirements:
Position is in-person at our Wasilla location Occasional commute to Anchorage may be required for training and/or coverage
