Job Description To provide a range of intake and associated administrative services to patients being admitted to the hospital, emergency department or receiving outpatient services. To obtain demographics, insurance, and medical information. To assess the patient's financial status and identify a source of payment. To collect deposits or deductibles. To interface with insurers and members of the healthcare team. 1. Responsible for all registration activities including, but not limited to point of service registration of inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department patients. 2. Assesses the patient's financial status, identifying a source of payment, obtaining sufficient information to permit reimbursement, ensuring the information is complete and accurate. 3. Obtains sufficient information to permit reimbursement, ensuring the information is complete and accurate. 4. Explains financial requirements to the patient or responsible party, and collects deposits or deductibles as required. 5. Accurately completes forms and reports related to registration and disseminates to appropriate departments. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. None required.
