Medical Billing Manager Mobile, AL Full-time Full-time Are you an experienced billing professional ready to take on a dynamic leadership role in a growing organization? Urology Associates of Mobile, PA, is seeking a Medical Billing Manager to oversee billing operations for our practice. This is an opportunity to manage the billing operations of a growing practice, leading a team of approximately five skilled professionals, including Charge Representatives, Posting Representatives, A/R Specialists, and Patient Collections Representatives. Key Responsibilities:
Lead weekly meetings with the Billing Supervisor to address process improvements, operational health, and HR concerns. Represent the department in bimonthly management meetings , discussing performance, challenges, and growth strategies. Partner with the Billing Supervisor on hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for the business office team. Oversee patient complaints, ensuring resolution aligns with high customer service standards. Develop, implement, and maintain written protocols for all billing operations, ensuring consistent training and compliance. Monitor insurance and patient A/R, providing detailed updates to the CFO. Ensure timely processing of credit balances and refunds for patients and insurance payers. Oversee claims denials, worklist follow-ups, and proper adjustment practices to optimize revenue cycle management. Collaborate with external vendors to manage provider credentialing and coding compliance plans. Identify and resolve root-cause billing issues, working cross-departmentally to implement lasting solutions. Provide strategic insights to the CFO on billing performance and operational improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 10+ years of relevant experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or a related field. 5+ years of management experience leading billing teams in a healthcare setting.
Skills and Requirements:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex workflows and priorities. Exceptional communication skills, with a patient-first approach to problem-solving.
