Job Description

The Part-Time Dental Clinic and Lab Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance to the dental assisting faculty in classroom, laboratory, and clinical sessions, daily operations of the Fayetteville Youth Dental Clinic, management and monitoring of budgets including grants awarded to the program, and ensuring the program meets all OSHA and HIPAA requirements for the classroom, laboratory, and clinic.
Essential Duties:
Assists the Dental Assisting Program Faculty in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical areas Ensures the Dental Assisting Program meets OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Maintains up to date knowledge in order to ensure compliance Manages and monitors inventory and budgets including grants awarded to the Dental Assisting Program and the Fayetteville Youth Dental program Serves as Administrative support for the Dental Assisting Program and the Fayetteville Youth Dental Clinic Serves as clinical support including patient management, communication with dental offices, and equipment maintenance Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college
Rate of Pay:
$16.00 hourly Completed applications received by 6/19/2026 will be assured full consideration. Late Applications will be reviewed as necessary to fill the position
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of an associate degree with a major in a health related program or related field Two years of experience in the dental field or related area
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
Must hold a current professional licensure—Registered Dental Assisting Permit from AR State Board of Dental Examiners Must pass background checks conducted by Arkansas State Police, FBI, and Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry CPR Certification is preferred but can be completed after hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree and two to five years of dental experience Five or more years of dental experience in lieu of a degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate in person-to-person, over the phone and by email Ability to track budgets including expenditures, inventory, and ordering Knowledge of software typical to an office setting as well as a dental setting Strong problem solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Work Hours:
Up to 170 days Up to 6 hours a day Flexible with Supervisor's approval
