Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Hospitality Manager to serve as a key leader within the clubhouse operations overseeing front-of-house dining service, member hospitality and club events to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences. This role combines restaurant floor management with event coordination responsibilities, requiring a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The Hospitality Manager is responsible for supervising dining and banquet operations, leading front-of-house staff, coordinating private events and club functions, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the club's culture and service expectations. This individual acts as a liaison between members, guests, culinary teams, and service staff to ensure seamless daily operations and successful event execution. Essential Responsibilities Member & Guest Experience Serve as the manager on duty for clubhouse dining operations, special events, and member functions. Greet and interact with members and guests to ensure satisfaction and build strong relationships. Maintain a visible presence throughout service periods and club events. Address member concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally. Ensure all dining, banquet, and event spaces remain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming at all times. Solicit guest feedback and communicate opportunities for operational improvement to management. Dining Room & Service Operations Oversee daily front-of-house operations for casual dining, formal dining, banquet functions, and club events. Coordinate service flow between dining room, bar, banquet, and kitchen teams to ensure timely and accurate service. Manage reservations, seating arrangements, dining room pacing, and staffing assignments. Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, menu features, service priorities, and event details. Monitor service quality, presentation standards, ticket times, and overall guest experience. Assist staff during service as needed, including food running, bussing, and guest interaction. Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and consistently. Event Coordination & Execution Coordinate and oversee private events, club functions, tournaments, social gatherings, and banquet operations. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) daily and ensure accurate event setup and execution. Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and management teams regarding timelines, room setups, menu details, and member expectations. Communicate directly with hosts and vendors to ensure smooth event planning and execution. Oversee event setup, breakdown, décor coordination, and operational readiness. Manage transitions between standard dining service and event operations efficiently. Ensure event spaces are properly reset and secured following functions. Staff Leadership & Development Supervise and support front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, hosts, banquet staff, and support personnel. Assign daily sections and responsibilities to ensure efficient operations. Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training to reinforce club service standards. Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations alongside senior management. Monitor staff appearance, professionalism, and adherence to club policies and uniform standards. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, communication, and hospitality excellence. Administrative & Operational Responsibilities Monitor inventories of front-of-house supplies, linens, menus, paper goods, and event materials. Report maintenance concerns, operational issues, and member feedback to appropriate departments. Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational planning. Review daily sales reports, comps, voids, tip-outs, and guest counts. Ensure POS systems, communication boards, and operational materials remain updated and functional. Maintain accurate shift reports and communicate operational updates to management. Club Standards, Safety & Compliance Maintain and enforce cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout all front-of-house and event spaces. Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and club policies. Uphold the club's service standards, culture, appearance expectations, and hospitality philosophy. Model professionalism, accountability, and leadership at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant management, banquet management, event coordination, or country club operations preferred. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, banquet operations, and hospitality service standards. Strong computer skills, primarily with Word and Excel, as well as graphic programs, such as Canva to create flyers, menus, programs, etc. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events as needed. Food safety certification and alcohol service certifications preferred.
