Summary of Job Duties:
The Patient Services Coordinator in WISL will provide administrative and patient support services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Serves as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and visitors while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to UAMS Guest CARE standards. Coordinate patient services, manage medical records, scheduled appointments, answered multi-line phone systems, and facilitated communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff. High School Diploma/GED plus one (1) year administrative experience. Ability to follow oral instructions, read and write. Ability to communicate with staff, patient/families following Guest CARE guidelines Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and healthcare staff while promoting a positive patient experience. Manages patient records and electronic health information, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and proper documentation. Coordinates patient admissions, discharges, transfers, transportation, appointments, and related administrative processes. Serves as a communication liaison between patients, providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments, ensuring timely and accurate information flow. Provides clerical and operational support, including maintaining unit logs, scheduling, processing documents, and managing departmental communications. Assists clinical staff with patient care support activities, including patient monitoring, comfort measures, transportation, and activities of daily living as needed. Maintains compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, infection control protocols, and emergency preparedness procedures. Participates in process improvement initiatives, staff development, and ongoing training to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. Other duties as assigned. Salary Information:
