Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Manages all aspects of the Long-Term Care Center including the daily operations, all patient care and business decisions, compliance with all regulations, budgeting, prepares various reports, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors of Science degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field, required Masters of Health Administration (MHA) or a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare management preferred Five (5) years of previous Long-Term Care experience, required NHA (National Healthcareer Association) License, required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Plans and directs operations of the facility. 2.Responsible for all aspects of care provided to residents and for the facility's environmental functioning. 3.Oversees the hiring and training of employees. 4.Oversees the activities of the medical, nursing, technical, clerical, support services, social service, activity, and volunteer staff. 5.Maintain and develop standards, policies, programs, and operating procedures that comply with federal and state regulations as appropriate. 6.Creates and administer budgets. 7. Prepare official reports for the governing body and state and federal agencies as required. 8.Attends various meetings including staff, families, the governing body, insurance companies, and Medicare and Medicaid administrators. 9.Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure residents' individual care plans are being followed 10. Ensures regular safety and compliance training as well as resident experience and a process for addressing concerns. 11. Implements and oversees quality assurance programs to ensure resident safety. 12. Oversee revenue cycle including billing 13. Other duties as assigned, specific to the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of tribal, state and federal regulations including, but not limited to: HHS,TJC, HIPPA and DHS Knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting Knowledge and understanding of the physical, mental and emotional requirements of specific job functions, activities and resident care delivery requirements Knowledge of current issues and practices pertinent to assigned areas, functions and services for supporting development of "best practice" operations
LONG-TERM CARE ADMINISTRATOR
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agency reporting requirements and standards Ability to utilize effective communication and problem-solving skills to efficiently identify issues, concerns and interests and provide effective solutions Ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject conflict resolution of. Ability to apply active listening and critical thinking skills for problem identification and resolution Ability to effectively utilize reporting formats and criteria to present succinct and meaningful management information Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other senior management team, and staff Ability to apply principles, methods and techniques of process/quality improvement Ability to understand of financial and budget management reports Skills associated with effective listening, communication and collaboration Ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Activities are primarily performed in an environmentally controlled healthcare clinic subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer equipment; bending, lifting, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly works in an environment subject to quickly changing and often conflicting priorities while supporting leadership needs and requirements
