Job Description

Description The Back Office Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of patient care and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for women's healthcare.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of medical assistants, nursing staff, and other clinical support personnel in the back office. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to back office staff to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care. Monitor clinical workflows and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity in the back office.
Patient Care Coordination:
Coordinate patient care activities in the back office, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting healthcare providers with examinations and procedures. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Collaborate with front office staff to facilitate patient scheduling, registration, and check-in processes.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA). Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation, medication administration, and infection control practices to maintain quality standards. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Equipment and Supplies Management:
Oversee inventory management for clinical supplies, medications, and equipment in the back office. Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to support clinical operations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care. Serve as a liaison between back office staff and other departments to facilitate communication and resolve operational issues. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and committees to promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Arizona. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in women's health or OBGYN. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Strong clinical skills with proficiency in medical terminology, patient assessment, and clinical procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make decisions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
