Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Arizona Sports Medicine Center Scottsdale A non-exempt medical office position responsible for coordinating and managing all processes of the front office Responsibilities Adheres to the mission, purpose, and policies of Tenet Physician Resources, including the HIPAA Compliance Plan and Privacy Standards. Demonstrates support for the Corporate Compliance Program by following the Code of Conduct and reporting compliance issues in a timely manner. Greets patients and answers office phones to manage appointments and basic office-related tasks. Checks in patients, collects and enters accurate demographics into the electronic system, and verifies insurance. Coordinates daily operations, including the medical records process, front desk control, and office supplies. Manages physician surgical schedules as well as other business-related appointments. Assists with checking out patients, including referral processing and the scheduling process. Collects co-pays, posts charges, and handles charge entry and patient balance processing. Performs daily reconciliation of charges and payments while monitoring and auditing cash/payment funds. Confirms appointments and performs additional clinical or administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma/GED required with completion medical office assistant program preferred.
Certification :
Prefer healthcare management/administration certification.
Experience:
