Job Description

Who We Are Casa de los Niños is one of the most established and well respected non-profit organizations in Tucson. We have been helping kids and healing families since 1973. Our services include parent education classes, Foster Care, Parents As Teachers, Behavioral Health, and Nurse-Family Partnership Program! Job Summary The Health Services Specialist supports the functions of the Behavioral Health division by providing intake, financial screening, eligibility, enrollment, and membership services to members of the behavioral health system and their families, with a focus on the coordination of care on an administrative level. In addition, processes billing for contracts, resolves billing issues, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and tasks associated with data management in a statewide system and EHR. Essential Duties Provides administrative support to program staff. Facilitates all incoming calls and addresses member questions. Submits & maintains reports in timely and efficient manner. Enrolls Rapid Response and Walk-in members. Greets visitors to the building and assures that they are responded to in a timely manner. Handles all incoming/outgoing mail. Provides clerical support as assigned by all programs. Directs all incoming faxes to the appropriate recipient. Facilitates inter-agency communications including Client Notification of Admission Forms. Provides cross coverage for other members of the membership team including front desk, enrollment, eligibility, and medical records. Quickly and accurately directs callers to the appropriate department/person. Schedule's member appointments according to practice protocols and obtains the necessary information. Accurately enters member's information in the scheduling program. Requirements High School Diploma and four (4) years of full-time behavioral health work experience required Associate's Degree and two (2) years of full time behavioral health or healthcare industry experience in an administrative role, preferred. Current CPR/First Aid certification Must demonstrate ability to process and maintain confidential/sensitive information. Must demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent organizational, clerical, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and in a team. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Must be able to meet training and agency requirements for the position. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety level one fingerprint clearance card.
