This important team member sets the tone in the interactions a patient has with our practice, via telephone, email, text, and front desk reception. Our Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for warmly welcoming all new and existing patients according to our commitment to excellent customer service, patient education, and superior optometric products. The Patient Care Coordinator manages the patient flow through the practice, including check-in and out and maintains a full appointment schedule. Prior optometry experience is desired but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Greeting all patients and guests to the practice Answering the telephone and addressing needs and questions Entering and updating patient electronic records and scheduling appointments Preparing charts, pulling insurance authorizations, and ensuring that everything is ready for patient appointments Invoicing and submitting claims to insurance (with training) Maintaining a full appointment schedule by utilizing wait lists and patient recall Collaborate with the team to develop and consistently implement methods for patient retention and reactivation

Team Player Exhibit the ability to work well with others, supporting all members of the team and ensuring a well-coordinated patient experience. Brand Championship The Patient Care Coordinator must be comfortable acting as the "Director of First Impressions", consistently promoting our practice's passion for service to our patients and their vision and eye health. Detail Orientation Must have the ability to maintain a high level of detail orientation despite frequent interruptions, including the organizational skills to follow-up on tasks to ensure completion. Accuracy and attention to patient records, scheduling, and file maintenance are an absolute must. Pace of the Environment Must be able to work at a fast pace and multi-task effectively, while maintaining friendly interactions with patients, guests of the practice, and team members. Important to utilize down time for completion of unfinished job tasks and ongoing patient recall. Great Opportunities for Growth and Learning Cross-training of additional Optometric office tasks will be provided as you become confident and capable in the environment. We are a small office and everyone plays a vital role in the success of our practice! This is a full-time position with hourly pay and benefits.
