Compensation Range:
$ 85,000-95,000 /year The Respiratory Therapy (RT) Clinical Director is responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the Program Director. The Clinical Director's responsibilities include coordination, instruction, and evaluation. The Clinical Director determines student clinical rotation schedules as well as supervising all Clinical faculty members. The Clinical Director bears the primary responsibility for acquiring clinical sites and managing student placement at clinical sites in accordance with clinical affiliation agreements. The Clinical Director also shares graduate job placement responsibilities with the Director of Career Services and as such must regularly coordinate placement efforts with the Career Services department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory Excellent Verbal and Interpersonal skills Commitment to the success of the students and the school
Credentials and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a related subject area from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education required (Associate's level program) A Master's degree in a related subject area from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education required (Bachelor's level program) Hold a valid RRT credential and current state license - must be in good standing Have a minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor Equal Employment Opportunity In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions will be based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
