Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and foster a collaborative environment for staff and clients alike. Your leadership will drive program development, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote innovative therapeutic practices. Duties Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all clinical programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards such as HIPAA and ICD coding requirements. Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, case managers, and support personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Oversee patient assessments, intake processes, treatment planning, and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to medical terminology standards. Coordinate clinical services such as individual and group therapy, behavioral management, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and family counseling. Implement crisis management protocols and supervise crisis intervention efforts to ensure safety and effective resolution during emergencies. Lead clinical research initiatives, data collection efforts, and quality assurance activities to enhance service delivery and outcomes measurement. Ensure all medical records are maintained accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing documentation related to CPT coding and
ICD-10/ICD-9
classifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to patients' unique needs—particularly those working with children, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, or disabilities. Facilitate training sessions on topics such as social work practices, special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure as required by state law (e.g., LCSW, LPC). Extensive experience in behavioral health settings with demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and case management. Proven leadership skills with experience managing clinical teams in hospital or community-based environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding systems, CPT coding procedures, and HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools for mental health conditions including PTSD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and other behavioral health issues. Excellent communication skills for conducting intake assessments, patient care planning, child & family counseling sessions, and clinical research documentation. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while maintaining composure under pressure; experience in crisis management is essential. Knowledge of special education practices and working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Join us in leading compassionate care that transforms lives! $65,217.89 - $78,541.97 per year
