This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for healthcare management, exceptional leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of medical office systems to drive operational excellence and elevate patient care standards. Responsibilities Manage the overall operations of the medical or dental practice, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow optimization. Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and expense control to ensure financial health. Supervise medical administrative support staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality and security of medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Brightree or similar platforms. Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure efficient patient flow in acute care or dental clinic settings while maintaining high-quality service standards. Oversee medical office management tasks such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, billing procedures, and utilization management. Implement policies aligned with Medicare standards and managed care requirements to promote quality assurance and accreditation readiness. Monitor clinic performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in practice management and patient satisfaction. Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, insurance companies, and external agencies to streamline operations. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA guidelines to safeguard patient information. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within hospital or clinic environments. Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial management, and cost control strategies. Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Brightree, Epic, or similar platforms. Supervising experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records procedures, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations such as Medicare standards. Competence in managing office operations related to appointment scheduling, billing (including managed care), and insurance processing. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement in clinical settings like acute care or dental clinics. Ability to handle human resources functions including staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation and conflict resolution. Experience with hospital or Medical practice environments is a plus; DME experience is highly valued.
