Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and professional Front Desk Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing front desk operations with exceptional customer service skills. This role requires familiarity with medical office procedures, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and medical administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations and accurate documentation. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent patient service and maintaining professional phone etiquette. Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient intake processes efficiently. Verify insurance coverage, insurance verification, and process billing using systems such as Epic, HST. Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Handle medical collection activities and ensure proper documentation for care plans. Support office management tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow. Perform other clerical duties related to front desk operations in a healthcare setting. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting; clinic or dental experience is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, HST. Knowledge of medical billing, ICD coding (ICD 10), CPT coding, insurance verification, and health information management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing, and office management software. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
