Patient Care Coordinator - QA Lead West Coast Wound - 2.3 Burbank, CA Job Details Full-time $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Lead Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and operational functions supporting the Wound Care Programs. This role provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team while ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards. The Lead Patient Care Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between program staff and clinical leadership, functioning as both a frontline supervisor to maintain high standards of patient care, workflow efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of Medical Assistants and QA staff, ensuring efficient workflows and timely patient follow-up Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate program coverage Train, mentor, and support staff; assist with onboarding and performance evaluations Serve as the primary escalation point for workflow issues, patient concerns, and staff questions Lead team huddles and support quality improvement initiatives Supervise QA processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and KPI alignment Review and maintain clinical documentation, including treatment logs, prior authorizations, and ICD-10 coding Monitor QA trackers, reports, and data for accuracy and compliance Analyze workflows and data trends to identify issues and implement improvements Prepare and present regular QA and operational reports to leadership Communicate effectively with patients, providers, leadership, and external partners Manage outsourced staff coordination, including payroll validation and coverage planning Escalate clinical or operational concerns and communicate supply or resource needs proactively Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in Medical Assisting, Healthcare Administration, LVN, EMT/dispatcher or related field preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) or LVN preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience in wound care, specialty clinics, home health, or outpatient settings Experience supervising or working with outsourced or remote teams Strong understanding of QA processes, KPIs, and clinical documentation standards Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach Experience & Background Minimum 1-2 years of clinical medical assisting or relevant healthcare experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience in QA, clinical operations, or administrative healthcare role Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred Experience in one or more of the following role types strongly preferred: Healthcare Administration or Care Coordination Home Health or Field Scheduling Medical Assistant (clinical or administrative) Entry-level Healthcare QA or Data Support Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint RK7BsiKfKv
