Full Job Description General Summary:
The CSR Coordinator position is responsible for being a liaison between the front and back areas of the hospital primarily overseeing charges and estimates. He/she is to have an in-depth working knowledge of veterinary medicine, animal behavior and hospital procedures and protocols. He/she is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition for the client and/or patient upon entering the exam room to ensuring a proper discharge is thoroughly set up. He/she must possess the ability to communicate well with clients in the happiest and the most stressful situations. Equally important is managing, minimizing and adjusting waiting times for clients. Essential Job Functions In-depth knowledge of veterinary medicine, terminology, medical conditions, and medications. Client and public relations contact Basic to advanced computer skills (Woofware, Microsoft Office, etc.) Able to understand and transfer information from Hospital Treatment Sheets to the Client/Patient invoice Incoming phone calls Intake information Update all incoming client information Round with the morning doctors Schedule appointments Invoicing and the ability to discuss financial matters with clients Basic math skills Fluent verbal and written communications/English Computer data entry Able to lift up to 45 pounds
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Telephone skills General office practices and procedures Written communication, business English and composition Legible handwriting Ability to multi-task Ability to work under pressure Ability to problem solve Help create and/or keep an organized flow of information from client to anyone in the hospital or vice versa. Professionalism Maintain positive, upbeat attitude with doctors and team members Respectful Team Player Maintains confidentiality, i.e., patient and client medical information Able to Communicate in a clear, courteous and professional manner with clients, doctors and staff members Possesses the desire and ability to learn new skills Punctual, reliable and flexible
Education and Experience:
