This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people leader who is passionate about veterinary medicine and ready to grow their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on hospital operations, team development, and patient care. Prior veterinary experience is helpful but not required—what matters most is a genuine passion for supporting veterinary teams and delivering exceptional service to pets and their families. About the Hospital El Cerrito Veterinary Care is a modern, full-service hospital serving pets and families throughout the East Bay, including El Cerrito, Berkeley, Oakland, and surrounding communities. Schedule:

Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with weekends as needed.

Compensation:

$28-$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership and support to hospital team members Foster a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure smooth hospital operations and alignment on hospital goals and priorities Build and maintain a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Chief of Staff and medical team to support clinical excellence and team success Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management Support inventory management, hospital operations, and administrative processes Help create an efficient, organized, and welcoming environment for clients, patients, and team members

What We're Looking For:

Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred A team-oriented professional who is passionate about veterinary medicine and interested in growing their leadership skills Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to build relationships, motivate team members, and lead by example Experience in customer service, operations, healthcare, hospitality, or team leadership roles is a plus
