Full Job Description Emergency Veterinary Floor Supervisor Compensation Non-Licensed Veterinary Technician:

$30•36/hour DOE Animal Emergency Clinic is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Floor Supervisor to lead our clinical team in a fast-paced, high-quality emergency veterinary hospital. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced emergency veterinary professional who is passionate about patient care, team development, and creating an efficient, positive work environment. As the Floor Supervisor, you will oversee daily hospital operations, support doctors and clinical staff, mentor technicians and assistants, and help ensure exceptional patient care while maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow. Schedule Full-time Five (5) 8-hour shifts per week Weekend availability required Must be flexible to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on hospital needs What You'll Do Lead and oversee daily emergency floor operations and patient flow. Coordinate caseloads and prioritize patients based on medical urgency. Partner with veterinarians to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care. Supervise, coach, and mentor veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff. Provide ongoing feedback, accountability, and professional development for team members. Assist with onboarding and training new employees. Help resolve client concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve workflow and operational efficiency. Create staff schedules that support patient volume while maintaining labor budgets. Ensure hospital protocols, SOPs, and safety standards are consistently followed. Step into a clinical role as needed to support the team during high-volume or critical cases. Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture.

Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital. Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience. Strong emergency technical skills and the ability to manage multiple critical patients simultaneously. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing veterinary teams. Ability to remain calm, decisive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule with weekend availability. Preferred RVT license in the state of CA Experience with EzyVet, SmartFlow, or similar veterinary practice management software. Experience with staff scheduling, workflow management, and labor planning.
