Director of Clinical Services - STRTP (Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program) California Kiddo Care Hemet, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract From $50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Operations management Medication safety procedure implementation Staff scheduling Child welfare services HIPAA Residential treatment center experience Team development Staff training Clinical documentation Social Work Group home experience Child welfare Full Job Description Job Summary The Head of Service serves as the designated clinical leader for the STRTP and is responsible for ensuring all therapeutic, behavioral health, and treatment services meet California Community Care Licensing (CCL), Title 22, Continuum of Care Reform (CCR), and Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requirements. This role provides oversight of clinical programming, treatment quality, regulatory compliance, and supervision of mental health staff serving youth in residential care. The Head of Service ensures the program maintains a trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive environment that supports permanency, safety, and positive outcomes for youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Responsibilities Oversee the overall management of the facility, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to all state and federal regulations, related to providing trauma informed care with a focus on continual improvement. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing STRTPs. Maintain proper licensing and certifications for staff and facility. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each resident. Conduct regular training and professional development for staff. Establish a system for monitoring and evaluating program outcomes. Foster collaboration with community resources and stakeholders. Lead and supervise staff members, including Direct Care providers, clinical staff, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on resident well-being. Collaborate with the Executive Director, to assist with budgeting processes, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable operations while maintaining high standards of care. Coordinate with staff to oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with safety protocols, HIPAA compliance at all times, and ensuring resident dignity and privacy. Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff schedules, incident reports, and regulatory compliance. Promote a resident-centered culture by engaging with residents' families and advocating for their needs within the community setting. Qualifications
CA DOJ/FBI
Guardian background clearance, TB test, and pre-employment physical. Candidates are required to be licensed as either a LCSW, LMFT or LPCC to meet the state requirement. Hold a valid California driver's license or ID. Have experience in child welfare or related services, typically 2-3 years. Maintain ongoing education to stay updated on policies and procedures. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety standards in healthcare settings.
