Job Description

Job Summary The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for the daily clinical operation of the program in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, Executive Director, VP of Program Services, and Medical Director. The Clinical Program Manager will supervise and train the staff clinicians and counselor interns directly. In addition, he/she will work closely with the Medical Director and Director of Operations to assure the clinical components of the facility are appropriately coordinated. This position will report directly to the Director of Clinical Services. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for working in collaboration with the physician of the facility in overseeing the management of the daily medical/clinical operation of the facility while demonstrating ethical and professional conduct. 2. Oversee compliance of clinical/behavioral health components with regulatory standards (e.g. The Joint Commission). 3. Participates in regular data collection, reporting (e.g. mandated by funding sources, regulatory agencies), strategic planning (financial and programmatic), and development and implementation of productivity standards with the management team. 4.Carries a caseload and participates in after hours on call schedule. 5. Participates in the recruitment, retention, and training of clinical staff. 6. Responsible for working in collaboration with the COO or designee on the schedule, including permanent staff and temporary/per diem staffing. 7. Appropriately documents clinical and administrative work. 8. Ensures to use the utmost of care in protecting the confidentiality of client records in accordance with state and federal laws. 9. Collaborates with medical, behavioral health, and counseling staff regarding clients in the program. 10. Assure the design and implementation of clinical or program quality improvements. 11. Provide professional and ethical therapy to chemically dependent patients in treatment through group, individual counseling, family counseling, and education. 12. Ensures compliance with all behavioral health protocols. 13. Presents changes, improvements or additions to protocols or behavioral health procedures to the team. 14. Understands and adheres to the company's compliance standards as they appear in Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. 15. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal and state regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. 16. Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs. Experience 1. Unrestricted licensure to practice in
California:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or ACSW); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT or AMFT); Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC or APCC). 2. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university. 3.
Preferred:
approved supervisor status by the state professional licensing board. 4. A minimum of 2 years experience in the field of chemical dependency, behavioral health, or addiction medicine. 5. Current CPR/FA certification 6. Current TB Test Requirements
  • Proficient in the English language, both in writing and speaking and able to communicate clearly to staff, clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency disorders and mental health disorders
  • Knowledge of alcohol and drugs commonly abused, as well as the physical, emotional, and psychological impact from substance abuse.
  • Knowledge of 12-Step Recovery Program
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction including confidentiality, patient rights, ethics, and discrimination
  • Experience and skills in the use of electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Possess compassion and empathy
  • Knowledge of social and cultural influences that impact mental health
  • Maintain all licenses and certifications as required of the position
