We are hiring a Coordinator to operationalize this work in the field, alongside our Head of Whole Child Systems (a former
CA SELPA
Executive Director). This is a CA K-12 role for a CA K-12 leader. If you've run MTSS, behavioral health, or wellness systems inside a district, COE, or SELPA — and you're ready to take what you've built to the state level — this is the seat. Job Description /Essential Elements:
The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of IMPACTER's Behavioral Health Screening portfolio. The position works directly with SCCOE (prime), Stanford's Center for Population Health Sciences, Applied Survey Research, the Deveau Burr Group, and participating LEAs across California.Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics, deliverables, and reporting cadence across SCCOE, Stanford, ASR, DBG, and 6+ participating LEAs over a 30-month grant period.
- Operate the quarterly Communities of Practice / Network Improvement Communities for participating LEAs, including in-person and virtual convenings.
- Provide direct technical assistance to LEA leadership, school site administrators, counselors, school psychologists, and wellness coordinators on behavioral health performance management implementation.
- Manage grant compliance, documentation, and reporting back to the Behavioral Health Services Oversight & Accountability Commission (BHSOAC).
- Support LEA-level integration of IMPACTER's behavioral health screener into existing MTSS, SST, and 504/IEP referral pathways.
- Coordinate CYBHI fee schedule billing implementation with LEA business offices.

- Minimum 5 years of CA K-12 experience in a district, County Office of Education, SELPA, or community-based organization serving schools.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MTSS, behavioral health systems, and California's Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).
- Familiarity with the CYBHI fee schedule, Medi-Cal LEA Billing Option Program, and/or
CPT 96127
billing infrastructure.- Direct experience leading or supporting school-based wellness, behavioral health, or special education initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to run multiple workstreams across multiple agencies simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write a Commission-grade grant report and lead a multi-stakeholder meeting.
- Self-directed, steady in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) or Administrative Services Credential.
- Recently retired or transitioning district / COE / SELPA administrator.
- Direct experience with BHSSA, CYBHI, California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP), or related state behavioral health grants.
- Experience with LCAP, SPSA, or state accountability reporting cycles.
Travel:
Regularly to participating LEAs across California for site visits, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings (estimated 4-8 days/month).Required for all applicants:
- Letter of Introduction (1-2 pages) describing your CA K-12 experience and interest in this role — specifically your work in MTSS, behavioral health, wellness systems, or related CA K-12 initiatives.
- Current Resume / CV.
