Providence at Home with Compassus Position Summary The Executive Director, Home Health leads assigned ministries of the Home Health Service Line in specific, high-priority strategic markets/states within Providence Home and Community Care (PHCC), overseeing operations of at least six (+) ministries with $175M+ gross revenue. In this capacity the Executive Director will lead multiple, diverse and distinct Home Health ministries with specialized programs and services (e.g., employers) and will be responsible for developing and implementing key strategic priorities for the HCC Regional Line of Business, including growth, strategic partnerships, overall financial performance, quality and engagement. The success of this position will be measured by the degree to which the home health program achieves the operating commitments of PHCC including the appropriate service line and ministry metrics for Mission Inspired, People Centered, Service Oriented, Quality Focused, Financially Responsible, and Growing to Serve. Position Specific Responsibilities Leads assigned ministries of the Home Health Service Line, in specific, high-priority strategic markets within HCC. Leads 6 or more distinct ministries with unique specialty services, separate employer with unique cultures and/or more than a combined gross revenue annually of $175M. Develops and implements key strategic priorities, including (but not limited to) heightened integration responsibilities for mergers, acquisitions and system restructures; organizational development and redesign; operational integration across multiple ministries; and executing aggressive, strategic growth opportunities in unique, and under-served markets that have been identified as key strategic growth opportunities by HCC executive leadership. Responsible for developing and implementing both financial and clinical strategies and operations consistent with the strategic goals, mission and values of the Health System. Develops and implements strategies for operating systems designed to support business growth and alignment with related elements of the clinical continuum of care, including but not limited to Hospice and other home based services. Responsible for programs and comprehensive home health clinical services per regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Manages assigned Directors and shared service functions; builds high functioning teams with highly engaged leaders delivering best in class patient experience and clinical outcomes; leads coordinated regional work to ensure financial performance, and assumes an advocacy role in public and community relations activities related to improving home-based care for all patients referred to and qualified for hospice services. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree A Bachelor's Degree in Health or Hospital Administration, Business Administration or a related field. Or equivalent educ/experience Preferred
  • Master's Degree A Master's Degree in Health or Hospital Administration, Business Administration or related fields. Required
  • 5 years At least 5 years of leadership experience in home health administration demonstrating progressive advancement of responsibilities and accountabilities.
Skills Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities.
