This is a Full Time position (80 hours per pay period) with a Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM schedule, located in Torrey Pines. Join a winning team supporting the Organ Transplant department at our Scripps Green Hospital as an Administrative Coordinator. In this important role, your primary responsibilities will be patient donor registration/registering new referrals, scheduling tests/visits, ensuring insurance authorizations are obtained, requesting release of information to be signed by patients when calling to schedule the consult, requesting medical records and uploading medical records into EPIC and giving the copies to the RN coordinator, and checking the Epic in-basket. The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, advanced problem-solving skills, and a pleasant and professional demeanor. Other general Administrative Coordinator duties may include: Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Performing clerical, administrative, and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception. Having in-depth knowledge of the unit's operations, organization, and procedures. Maintaining office files and records in accordance with internal procedures. Receiving and referring visitors and telephone callers. Responding to requests for information. Opening and distributing mail. Providing a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department. Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment. Maintaining appointment calendars.
