Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our vibrant Endodontic practice. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to treatment coordination. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment, promote efficient daily operations, and support the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will handle various administrative responsibilities, including insurance verification, billing, and maintaining accurate patient records within our electronic health record (EHR) systems. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Verify insurance coverage and benefits ensuring accurate authorization and billing processes Review and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality Assist patients with intake procedures, explaining treatment plans, and collecting necessary documentation Perform insurance verification and billing tasks to facilitate smooth financial transactions Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing patient flow Maintain organized filing systems for dental charts while ensuring accuracy in data entry using Microsoft Office tools Handle collection processes with professionalism to ensure timely payments while providing excellent customer service Utilize dental terminology proficiently to communicate effectively with patients and team members Manage office administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies Experience Previous clinic or dental office experience with a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care billing and documentation review Hands-on experience working with TDO, Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices Proven ability to handle insurance verification processes accurately in a fast-paced environment Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with multi-line phone systems Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and typing speed (10 key typing) Experience working in a dental clinic or hospital setting is advantageous for understanding dental terminology and office workflows We offer: Medical Benefits Dental Benefits Vision Benefits 401K Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Sick Pay Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care while supporting your professional growth!
