POSITION SUMMARY
The Health Information Designee has responsibility for the initiation, maintenance and filing of resident records in the facility. Record Designee has access to all Protected Health Information in the resident's charts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results. Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESQUALIFICATIONS 2-4
years' previous experience in medical records preferred; knowledge of ICD coding and supervisory experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Must have knowledge of medical terminology Commitment to the company mission to consistently deliver high quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity, and to enrich every life we touch.
