Job Description
Job Summary The Health Program Manager
- Clinical Services position is a multifaceted senior management leadership role responsible for both program oversight and direct clinical support.
The Department:
Public Health is a division within the Health and Human Services Department, dedicated to advancing community health and promoting equity. The division encompasses a range of programs, each serving a unique and vital role in supporting the community. These programs include Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health; Oral Health; Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); Communicable Disease; Immunizations; Foster Care; and California Children's Services. Our team is committed to fostering a supportive, growth-oriented work environment while delivering high-quality services. Public Health actively builds and maintains strong partnerships with community members, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, schools, and other local agencies. In addition to programmatic work, Public Health provides essential clinical services, including STI testing, pregnancy testing, and health education. We also engage directly with the community through outreach efforts, hosting and participating in events that promote wellness, increase awareness, support prevention, and enhance community preparedness. Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities might be: Public Health Nurse (PHN) certificate (within six months of hire) Possession of a bachelor's degree in Public Health Nursing, Nursing, or a related field. Post-graduate coursework in Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field is desired. Experience in Public Health or Public Administration is highly desirable. Nursing experience in a rural public health setting is highly desirable.License or Certificate:
Possession of an active Registered Nurse (RN) license through the California Board of Registered Nursing is required.Disaster Service Workers:
All Mono County employees are designated as Disaster Service Workers during a proclaimed emergency and may be required to perform certain emergency services at the direction of the department and / or County. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California driver's license.Additional Requirements:
