The Nurse Manager, Mother Baby Unit will oversee a busy acute care mother-baby unit within a 400+ bed general acute care hospital, supporting approximately 350-400 births per month . This Baby-Friendly designated unit is currently in a redesignation year and is actively engaged in initiatives such as human milk donor program selection, reducing primary C-section rates, timely treatment projects, and A3 performance improvement work. The unit is notable for maintaining 95%+ staffing ratios, creating a stable, high functioning clinical environment for families and staff alike. In the Nurse Manager, Mother Baby Unit role, leadership is collaborative and well supported. This position works alongside peer leaders including an OB Technician Manager and an OB Emergency Department Manager, all reporting to the RN Director of Labor & Delivery. Responsibilities include clinical operations, staff engagement, quality outcomes, and day-to-day leadership of postpartum, nursery, and lactation services.
