Job Description

We are a warm, friendly, and patient-centered pediatric dental office in Monterey seeking a friendly, punctual, reliable, and long-term Pediatric Dental Patient Coordinator / Front Office Team Member to join our team. Our supportive office staff is excited to welcome someone who enjoys working with children and families, values teamwork, and takes pride in creating a positive patient experience. We are looking for someone who is kind, dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a busy but caring environment. Schedule Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (32 hours/week) Responsibilities Patient scheduling and schedule management Confirming patient appointments and maintaining an efficient schedule flow Greeting, checking in, and checking out patients and families with warmth and professionalism Answering phones and relaying messages to appropriate staff members Collection of copays and account management Creating treatment plans and reviewing recommended treatment with parents in a clear, supportive, and professional manner Insurance data entry, verification of benefits, insurance tracking, and analysis Managing and maintaining patient recall reports, inactive patient reports, and active treatment reports Interaction with referring offices and coordination of referrals Supporting public relations and office growth initiatives Assisting with social media and onsite/offsite marketing projects Collaborating with management and team members on office projects as needed Helping create a welcoming, positive, and fun experience for children and families
Qualifications Required:
Dental experience preferred (minimum 1 year preferred, but we are willing to train the right person) Friendly, professional, and dependable Strong communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute Preferred (but not required): Eaglesoft experience Pediatric dental, orthodontic, or dental front office experience Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is reliable, kind, organized, and genuinely enjoys working with children and families.
